All employees are trained in OSHA, DEP, DOT, State, and Federal regulations and are committed to safeguarding these regulations on the job. All active Field employees are certified in OSHA as well as in First Aid, and CPR. Continuing education and safety awareness is a key component in our daily company activates. Employees in levels of management are trained and certified as ‘Competent Persons’ Trench Box Safety, Confined Space Training and many more programs. Tool Box Meetings are held at every project site weekly by supervisors covering topics that stress the importance of safety measures, general site awareness, and updates on the latest equipment. Site Superintendents and Foremen perform the key role in loss control activities and shall accept responsibility for safety conduct on the jobsites from all employees and subcontractors.
Project Specific Safety Training
To completely prepare for all projects, Piscopo Excavation approaches new work sites by analyzing all conditions that exists under which employees will be working. If there are potential risks, such as high- tension wires, hazardous materials or other possible hazards, PISCOPO Excavation will approach the employees with specific training and equipment to handle the situation.
On-Site OSHA Inspections done by our company Safety Director are given at any time and the report
will make suggestions if needed, to each employee to make the project safer for all involved.
Drug Free Environment
Piscopo Excavation strictly enforces a zero drug and alcohol tolerance policy. Random drug testing is required which enables the company to maintain a drug-free work environment and ensures employee competence and Safety on each project.
